Dear prospective student,

I am currently doing my university studies in the Netherlands. I study Psychology in English. My motivation to study abroad began at 15 years old, when I moved to the United States for one year with a host family. English has opened up an enormous door for me. For instance, I read, watch, and listen to content in English. This gives me the opportunity to experience creative work by an English-speaking artist in their language of expression.

My studies in Psychology give me insight into how to approach teaching methods. I have studied there about the mental processes involved in learning. Hence, I like to be creative and come up with teaching strategies that I believe will enhance learning. These beliefs are supported by scientific literature in the field of learning and education, that I read during my studies.

I have experience teaching English, as well as Spanish. I find great pleasure in teaching languages, thus I am trying out this platform. I always intend for the student to have a nice time learning the language. For this reason, I focus on vocabulary and grammar, that can be useful to the student. I like to propose unconventional activities to my students, valuing that they try new ways of learning. When my students are young, I add games and competitions to my classes, as to fuel their motivation.
