My classes are speaking focused with the majority of the class being based around games aimed at achieving the target language. In my youngest classes, the classes are very interactive and there will be very little time with them sitting down and writing. There will be lots of songs and dances to help them remember the language. As the students get older and grammar becomes more important, it is necessary to take some more time to understand the concepts behind the grammar. However, with every grammar or new vocabulary I will have extra games and activities to test their understanding in a more natural way, on top of the worksheets. My experience and my favourite classes are with children and for me, the most important thing is that they enjoy my classes and have positive attitude towards English as that will encourage them to want to learn and improve. I find that having more than one student in the class makes the lesson more fun, dynamic and pushes the students more. This is because they can communicate and think about question formation from a young age.
