Good afternoon students,
I am Sirsa and I look forward to working together. A little about me -- I'm a teacher, life coach, foodie, writer, world-traveler, musician, and nice person. I'm currently writing songs, children's books, creative stories and a musical. I have lots of interests and I'm a lifelong learner that loves to learn and teach!
As a teacher, I am very intuitive and I work differently based on each student's personality, age and individual learning style. Some students are more practical, while others are more theoretical, and yet others are more artistic or creative. Everyone is different! I love to bring out the potential in my students, along with his or her confidence and unique self expression.
My classes are usually always really fun, and whenever possible I prefer to choose materials about which my students are passionate. For the younger students I'm often pretty funny and students often feel comfortable with me. (I can be also funny with adults too. : ) I also have a gift for explaining things and breaking down something more complicated into basic steps. For the younger children I work on their conversational English skills, with individualized reading, speaking and writing assignments. For the older teens and adults we work together to polish their creative writing or school/work essays, and prepare them for interviews, business meetings or college applications and more.
After our initial meeting we will both have a much clearer idea of how we can work together. I work closely with parents and/or the teens/adults themselves and in me you will have a dedicated, reliable and responsible teacher.
I give a lot to my students so I ask my students to also work hard and make the most of their lessons. Let's get to work (and play.)
To your success,
Sirsa
