Tatum Meisenheimer

Hello, I am Tatum! I am a 23 year old native English speaker from the United States of America. I just graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in May of 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Anthropology. I also received my TEFL certification in November of 2022. I am returning to graduate school in September 2023 to receive my Masters degree in Social Anthropology. I am currently working as a language assistant teaching English to secondary school students at a bilingual school of arts in Getafe.
I like to get to know my students a little bit before we start with lessons right away. I always begin with a simple English test to observe their basic knowledge and level of understanding. I also provide a questionnaire to understand what the student wants out of English tutoring as a whole. After I assess their level and learn what they need to focus on most, we start practice. Majority of my tutoring depends on the age and levels of my students from here on out. However, I do particularly enjoy focusing on grammar and vocabulary skills, pronunciation, communication and general conversation skills. I tend to do best with students who have had some previous English exposure.
