I have certified with 168-hour teaching TEFL program in UK. I am using structures with PPP lessons and students speaking time is my target. I use a warm-up to lead students in the subject. I encourage them working in pairs and group, moving around, swapping partners which makes the class more dynamic and interesting.i always elicit firstly instead of dictating them. I also use real-life objects, props and materials to make the lessons more varied and memorable for visual learners. I organise games, using flashboard, pictures, giving students feedbacks as they perform. I keep eye contact, engaged and monitoring them in their practice. I usually give them simple and clear instructions and check if they understand or not. For online students, I normally prepare some materials with vocabularies, examples, a little quiz, which depends on their level, and send them to a student before the session. During the online session, it is time for the student to practise, feedbacks and corrections if any. I also give some suggestions for improvement. With a larger group as in a company, I split them in smaller groups and appointing group leaders to help me manage and run session smoothly and effectively. Each group will discuss matters amongst themselves, then represent to the others. I would encourage their point of view s and give the feedback at the end of the session. As it is a big group, I would keep myself in the centre of the room to ensure that my voice and instructions are heard clearly.
