The teaching methods that you will find in my class are flexible and designed towards the student’s specific needs and requests. I like to involve many different activities that include these three stages:
1. Presentation – new language (vocabulary, grammar or specific topic, …) is explained and introduced to the student through visual aid, pictures, slides, digital (videos, songs,…), or physical Realia (magazines, coupons, newspaper, or other related objects from the real world)
2. Practice – in this stage the student would be provided with structured, teacher-guided, activities based on the new language thought in the previous stage. The aim is to encourage ¨student talk¨, verbal participation and ensure the student's understanding of the subject.
3. Participation – the student will be guided to use the new language in a more free way through role-plays, communication tasks, collaborative tasks and discussion activities.
These methods are basic guidelines to a successful and engaging lesson and can be applied to both adults and children.
My teaching experience:
I started my career as an educator at Montessori School in 2018, where I developed the skill to create fun and engaging lesson plans and hands-on activities for young learners, while also improving classroom management techniques. Later I was employed in an evening academy where my responsibilities involved ¨chatting hour¨ lesson planning for adults, school follow-ups with teenagers, one-on-one lessons, TESOL exam preparations, grammar-based lesson planning and job interview preparations. I am very excited to bring my in-classroom experience to my private students.
For the past few years I have been living and teaching in Spain, so from personal experience, I understand how difficult it can be to learn a new language. My aim is to help students build up confidence and feel secure in an English-speaking environment.
I have lots of patience and am capable of adapting to the student's pace and style of learning. I strive to make my lessons relatable and dynamic in accordance with the student´s level, age, culture and interests.
