I have a background in medicine and also a PhD in landscape planning. I have worked as a researcher at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (-), at the University of British Columbia (-), and at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (2020 - present). In all my positions, I have combined research with tutoring and teaching undergraduate and graduate students, which I have greatly enjoyed. I consider teaching as an interactive and mutual learning process and like to engage in discussions to make learning more active. I am very passionate about my topic, which transmits in my teaching. The topic of how human health is influenced by natural environments is fascinating and the importance of the topic is increasing exponentially as climate change and environmental degradation have detrimental impacts on human health. Therefore, it is pivotal that we acknowledge that there is no such thing as human health without planetary health. This acknowledgment is what I want to stimulate by providing opportunities for knowledge enhancement, critical thinking, and discussions.
