My name is Elena and I am an experienced and qualified Spanish teacher. If you are looking for a student that offers cheap improvised classes, please keep looking. I prepare my lessons with the utmost care and enthusiasm and I customize them according to your needs, interests and goals. That takes time, experience and knowledge - not merely speaking the language. I have a Masters in Applied Linguistics to the Teaching of Spanish and a Diploma in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language from the University of Jaén, as well as undergraduate Degrees in Literature and Fine Art.

I offer engaging and effective lessons, whether you are seeking to improve your Spanish or whether you are preparing for the DELE (Diploma in Spanish as a Second Language).

Since the pandemic started I have been teaching online, but prior to that I taught at the University of Sydney (Australia), the University of Technology and New South Wales University. I was both a teacher and examiner at the Instituto Cervantes, the Centre for Continuing Education and the Adult Workers Association. I have taught Spanish and English at all levels in four different countries to migrants, adults and young learners.

I also worked as an Interpreter specialising in Medical, Legal and Business Spanish, so if you have specific language needs, I can cater to these as well. However, my passions are closer to art, literature, film, history and politics.

In my classes I attempt to bring an interest in Spanish culture and society, so that you learn about what makes us Spaniards what we are today...Language is Culture and I believe every language lesson can bring us a little closer to another culture.
